What eyebrow threading is

Threading uses a twisted cotton thread to lift hair from the root. There is no wax and no chemical depilatory on the skin. The line can be very precise, which is why it suits the thin skin around the eyes and clients who want a clean arch rather than a blunt strip of removed hair.

At Tabernacle Beauty the work is done by Jessyca, who has more than 15 years of threading experience. A brow tidy is usually finished in under 10 minutes. Full face threading is a separate menu item when you also want the lip, chin, forehead, or sideburns cleared in the same visit.

Does it hurt?

Most clients say it is far gentler than waxing. The thread removes hair with minimal skin contact. First-timers regularly tell us they barely felt a thing. Any mild tingling fades within minutes, and there is usually no redness afterwards.

Pain is still personal. If your skin is already sunburnt, broken, or freshly treated with a strong acid or retinoid, message us before you come. We would rather move the appointment than thread irritated skin.

How long it takes, and whether you can walk in

Brows are the quick visit. The studio welcomes walk-ins for eyebrow threading, and many people stop in on the way past Tampines without booking ahead. If you want a particular time, or you are adding a facial, waxing, or colour, an appointment is the better plan so the visit stays unhurried.

Tell Jessyca if you have a photo of a shape you like, or if one brow grows differently from the other. Shaping is mapped to your bone structure. It is not a single template applied to every face.

Threading prices

These are the published prices in SGD. Threading is not split into a separate men's column the way waxing is.

The 10-session eyebrow threading package already includes the discount. Brow tinting is a henna-style stain for depth and shape. It is not the same service as hair henna on the hair menu.

Threading, waxing, or a henna brow

Choose threading when you want a precise line around the eyes and a method that does not coat the skin in wax. Choose waxing when you want a faster reshape on a larger area, or when the hair is being removed from the body rather than the brow. Our shorter note on threading versus waxing is the quick version of that choice.

Choose henna brows or brow tinting when the hair is already the right shape but looks faint. Tint adds depth for a limited time. It does not remove hair, and it does not last like embroidery.

Eyebrow embroidery is the different decision: semi-permanent strokes that typically last one to two years. Threading remains the maintenance visit even after embroidery, because new hair still grows around the healed strokes.

Hygiene

Aftercare for the rest of the day

Threading does not need a long recovery. For the next few hours, leave the skin alone: do not rub the brows, and skip heavy brow makeup until any tingling has gone. If you use a retinoid or an exfoliating acid, keep it off the brow area that day.

Hair grows back over the following weeks. There is no fixed return date on our menu. Book again when the shape starts to soften. Clients who want a standing rhythm often use the 10-session package.

A sensible first visit

Come with a clean face if you can. Makeup on the brow is not a problem we cannot work around, but a bare brow is easier to map. If you wear glasses, bring them. The arch should still look right when the frames are on.

If one brow has a scar, a gap, or a previous embroidery, say so before the thread starts. We will not promise to copy a celebrity photo that does not fit your bone structure. A reference photo is still useful as a direction.

The “from $9” line on the homepage is eyebrow threading, not full face and not a package. Full face is $25. If you want the lip and chin as well, the eyebrow, upper lip, and chin combination is $17. Mention that in the same message so we allow enough time.

Threading can sit next to a facial on the same day because the brow work is short. Waxing a larger area, colour, or embroidery needs its own plan. Put every service in one WhatsApp message rather than arriving and adding them at the chair.
